I just read a passage of scripture and I wanted to share my thoughts about it. Psalms 40:1-4, but verse 2 really stood out – “He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, and He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm” – Sometimes, but especially when you are going through a trial, it is so easy to think only about the current problem and how there may be no way out. This verse in particular, reminds us to look back and remember where God has brought us from or what He has brought us through. Those remembrances alone should be enough to scream hallelujah and thank you Lord. I cannot tell you that the end of your rough time is coming, because I don’t know that. I can tell you that this is probably not the first time you will go through something, and it certainly won’t be the last, but He will bring you through it, just like those other times….so today, just look back, remember, and give thanks…..
Looking Back
